Nitralloy 135m® is an alloy steel specifically designed for the nitriding metal hardening process that demonstrates increased surface hardness and show good corrosion resistance. When fabricating parts from Nitralloy 135m®, the finished product often shows less distortion in heat treatment than parts fabricated from alloys requiring quenching and tempering to achieve similar surface hardness. Nitralloy 135m® may be heat treated in dissociated ammonia gas.
