Aluminum Alloy 7075 | UNS# A97075 demonstrates high strength, good mechanical properties, offers good stress corrosion cracking resistance, and has good machinability. Because of 7075’s high strength-to-weight ratio, this alloy is widely used in highly stressed structural aerospace parts. 7075 also has strength comparable to many steels is used for applications include fittings, gears, shafts, missile components, regulated valves, and other aerospace and defense equipment.
