Stainless Steel 13- PH is a a martensitic precipitation-hardening steel that exhibits high hardness, excellent strength properties, good corrosion resistance, and superior toughness. Corrosion resistance for this metal is similar to Stainless Steel 304 and demonstrates good transvers toughness properties that are achieved through tight control of chemical composition, vacuum melting, and low carbon content.
This alloy is double melted in a vacuum induction furnace followed by consumable electrode vacuum melt processes. Primary applications are for parts and accessories that require corrosion resistance, high strength, and good ductility.
