What is Ultrasonic Testing?
Ultrasonic testing (UT) is a form of non-destructive testing (NDT), commonly utilized to detect flaws that might exist in the associated material that are not visible to the naked eye. This form of NDT is accomplished using systems that generate high frequency sound waves, between .5 – 15 Mhz. The machine incorporates a receiver, a group of transducers, and a display device.
